Evangelism/Discipleship Development

About This Team

The EDDT will consist of a leader/chairperson along with at least five elected members from the churches within the SFBA. The Associational officers and the AMS will serve as advisers to this team. The EDDT leader/chairperson will serve on the Associational Council, report to the Associational Board and October Annual Meeting, submit to the AST annual budget requests for the team's activities, and manage the team's budget.

Principle Duties

Provide Biblically appropriate evangelism/discipleship training material on both a personal and a corporate level that is easily understood and practiced.
Partner with sister churches within the SFBA, BSCNC, NAMB, SBC, and SBCAL where possible in the ongoing efforts to reach the world with the Gospel.
Partner, when possible, with other appropriately established evangelism/discipleship ministries in their efforts to reach the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Consistently make available the latest and most relevant resources in the areas of Evangelism and Discipleship to the Association member churches.
Provoke and equip the SFBA member churches to engage in regular personal as well as corporate evangelism followed by personal and corporate discipleship.
The EDDT leader/chairperson will serve on the Associational Council and report the activity of the EDDT to the Association Board as well as the messengers of the October Annual Meeting.
The leader/chairperson will be responsible for submitting a budget for the operation of this team and manage that approved budget.
